Lippstadt, 1 August 2022. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the member of the Shareholders’ Committee of HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA (“HELLA”), Klaus Kühn, has informed the Management Board today that he will resign from his mandate on the Supervisory Board and the chairmanship thereof as well as his mandate on the Shareholders’ Committee at the end of the HELLA Annual General Meeting on 30 September 2022 for personal reasons. A decision is to be taken in the near future on an appropriate succession plan, which will then be put to the Annual General Meeting for approval.
Klaus Kühn has been an independent member of HELLA’s Shareholders’ Committee since 2010, and a member of the Supervisory Board since 2014, assuming the role as the Board’s Chairman in 2019. His previous positions included several years as Chief Financial Officer at Bayer AG. “I am grateful for having been able to provide HELLA with advice and support, and guide the company’s development over such a long period”, says Klaus Kühn. “At the same time, I would like to express my thanks for the trust that has been placed in me. As a member of the Shareholders’ Committee and the Supervisory Board, I have always been fully committed to the company, and will continue to be so in the coming weeks in the interests of an orderly transition.”
Carl-Peter Forster, Chairman of the HELLA Shareholders’ Committee, expressed his personal thanks and respect to Klaus Kühn: “It is with great regret that we have accepted Mr Kühn’s decision to resign from his positions at HELLA. Mr Kühn has played a decisive role in shaping HELLA’s development in recent years, such as with the 2014 IPO and many other strategic decisions, not least due to his considerable financial expertise and extensive management experience. In view of all these achievements, and his exceptional work on the two bodies, we owe Mr Kühn our deepest gratitude.”
